Cosmic Explorer Rules
[edit]Anyone may add to the list if they can mention both the number and the episode it is from:
- rule 5: be nice to everyone in space ("Unexpected Ally")
- rule 28 (and 29): redundancy is the best policy ("Downsized")
- rule 37: listen ("Planet of the Plants")
- rule 52: keep gear stowed ("Who Stole the Stellosphere")
- rule 118: what you can't do alone, you can do as a team ("Skyrise")
- rule 119: never blow your nose in a wormhole ("Skyrise") — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.228.90.87 (talk) 20:25, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
Not sure how often these get mentioned, but they are numbered so is it worth keeping track of? For example in "Who Stole the Stellosphere":
- Cpt Callisto: "he has to learn to keep his gear stowed"
- Mr. Callisto: "that's cosmic explorer rule number fifty two"
May be worth tracking on the talk to form a list. Am sure I heard this in previous episodes but did not think to note them. 64.228.91.102 (talk) 16:50, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
- This is trivial information that does not belong in an encyclopedic article. This talk page, meanwhile, is for discussing improvements to the article. Collecting detailed information like this is more appropriate for a blog. - SummerPhDv2.0 23:29, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think it is trivial, and something like this is more suitable for a community project like a wiki than a private blog. If there are enough we could list it in the episodes page. I'll put the ones in order at top of this section, others free to add. 64.228.89.137 (talk) 19:40, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
- Sounds like trivia to me. If the cosmic explorer lessons were crucial to the story line (i.e. each week he learns a new lesson that he employs) then that might be a different discussion, but even then the content should be incorporated into the plot summaries, not tacked on as afterthoughts, which only encourages listcruft. If this answer sounds familiar, it's because I said the same thing in response to your other suggestion at Talk:Doc McStuffins#Diseases about cataloging the in-universe diseases she identifies. We're not here to log insanely specific information like this. We don't, for instance, catalog the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition that were often cited by Quark in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. We haven't logged the episodes and number of times the Skipper hit Gilligan over the head with a hat. (S1E12: twice with Skipper's hat, once with Gilligan's own hat.) A private blog is the right place for this information, or Wikia which is a giant digital sandcastle built entirely on trivia. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:10, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
- Trivia is trivial things, and they ARE crucial to the storyline, they get cited in relation to the events which occur. They are not merely a rule of single race which get cited occasionally, but of the central occupation of which all the heroes share, cited regularly. The specificity of either explorer rules or toy diseases is not insane, they are central themes of protagonist jobs. Skipper hitting Gilligan is apples and oranges, slapstick is nowhere near on the levels of technical career specifications. 64.228.90.87 (talk) 19:40, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

Maiden name
[edit]Would it be worth mentioning that the Callisto surname comes from Leo's side of the family? That Phoebe likely took her husband's surname upon marriage? I realize this is standard in present-day but since this is a futuristic society with a female captain taking a commanding role (and even in present day, men sometimes take their wife's surname) it almost seems worth pointing out.
This is apparent from dialogue in Rock N'Roll:
- "The first time I used the exo-flex I was excited too, but my dad gave me some handy advice, he told me to move with the suit. He said I had to find my Callisto flow."
This indicates he had the surname earlier, likely when he was around Miles' age and still in the care of his father.
This might mean at some point later they could introduce a maiden name for Phoebe, giving room for a "nee" statement. 64.228.91.102 (talk) 17:26, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
- Confirmed mom last name was Liang, added refs. 64.228.89.137 (talk) 19:10, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
Space Thief Rules
[edit]In "Unexpected Ally", Gadfly Garnet says "finders keepers" is rule 57. Does anyone know if this different set of rules is referred to elsewhere or if it's a 1-time thing? 64.228.90.87 (talk) 19:48, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
Episode list split
[edit]The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
A split proposal tag was added to episode section October 2015 proposing a split of that section to List of Miles from Tomorrowland episodes.
- Oppose: Unless and until there is a second season as is normal for this type of split. Also, if and when it does get split, needs to be done in accordance to WP:SPLIT processes and WP:CWW attribution requirements. Geraldo Perez (talk) 16:43, 29 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose: Too soon per GP's notes above. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:04, 29 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose for now – if/when there's a second season, then the episode list can be split off. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 05:28, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose until there is a second season, per above. nyuszika7h (talk) 19:27, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

[edit]I don't remember when, but shortly after the series came out, they released a running platformer called "Miles From Tomorrowland: Missions", and I want to include it, but I don't know how to do so in a fitting way. Triviatronic9000 (talk) 18:44, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
